Job Title : Android Lead

Experience : 8+ Years

Location : Pune

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Android Lead with exceptional technical expertise and strong communication skills . The ideal candidate will lead Android development initiatives, drive architectural decisions, mentor team members, and ensure delivery of high-quality mobile applications. This role requires a balance of hands-on development and leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Android applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative features.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization.
  • Drive architectural decisions and recommend modern frameworks and tools.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and guide junior developers.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and quality metrics.
  • Ensure smooth integration with backend APIs and cloud services.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Android trends, libraries, and frameworks.
  • Act as a key point of contact for technical discussions with stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong expertise in Android development using Kotlin and Java .
  • Solid understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, MVVM / MVP / MVC architecture .
  • Hands-on experience with API integration (REST / GraphQL) , data storage (Room, SQLite), and offline capabilities.
  • Proficiency in unit testing, UI testing, and automation frameworks .
  • Strong knowledge of Play Store publishing, app lifecycle management, and performance optimization .
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) .
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills .

    • Good to Have

  • Experience with Flutter / React Native for cross-platform apps.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and mobile app security best practices.
  • Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies and stakeholder management.
