The Sr. Network Site Survey Engineer will lead the execution and standardization of comprehensive network (IT) site surveys across the client’s facilities. This role ensures that each assessment, covering cabling, wireless, switching, power, and network configuration, is performed consistently, accurately, and aligned to NaaS and Zero Trust Architecture baselines.
The successful candidate will act as the technical lead and quality authority over multiple field survey teams and remote support engineers, ensuring standardized documentation, on-time delivery, and readiness for transformation deployment across large manufacturing and warehouse environments.
Responsibilities
1. Survey Leadership and Execution
- Lead end-to-end technical site surveys covering :
- MDF / IDF structure, cabinet layouts, power / UPS validation, and grounding
- Fiber and copper cabling plant documentation (type, length, termination, and compliance)
- RF spectrum analysis, AP placement, and predictive / validation surveys (Ekahau)
- LAN / WAN device discovery, VLAN schema, and SNMPv3 configuration baselining
- Oversee physical walkdowns and ensure complete visual and logical documentation (racks, patch panels, switch ports, fiber runs).
- Validate that each site survey adheres to NaaS reference standards (Silver / Gold classifications).
2. Field Team Management
Supervise 3–5 Field Agents performing :Onsite data collection, photos, lift work, labeling, and patch panel mapping.RF and spectrum sweeps across multiple buildings and high-bay areas.Coordinate Remote Support Engineers for :Network configuration pulls, SNMP exports, device inventories, and diagram creation.Coordinate to fill field agent coverage gaps and escalated surveys as needed.3. Standardization & Quality Assurance
Develop and maintain survey templates, digital checklists, and QA formsEnsure standardized output across all survey reports including :Layer 1–3 diagrams, RF heatmaps, rack elevations, and remediation recommendations.Consistency with client documentation formats.Validate completeness (photos, cable trace, AP placement, switch configs, HLD / LLD data).4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with NaaS architects, project managers, and operations to :Translate survey findings into actionable remediation and deployment plans.Identify legacy, rogue, or non-standard network elements requiring replacement.Interface with OEM partners (Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Eaton) and client TechOps teams.5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
