Job Purpose
Drive effective implementation of enterprise governance frameworks within business units and support functions.
Key Accountabilities
- Support Business / Function Heads in risk governance and oversight of control issues.
- Lead periodic risk and control assessments; identify gaps and recommend enhancements.
- Conduct control testing and thematic reviews across key processes.
- Monitor open audit issues, internal control findings, and ensure timely closure with sustainable fixes
- Ensure adherence to local and group-wide policies, including those related to operational risk, conduct risk, and information security.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements (RBI circulars, MAS guidelines where applicable) and support in regulatory inspections and audits.
- Assist in ensuring end-to-end process risk documentation and regular policy reviews
- Liaise closely with Business, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Group Governance teams.
- Prepare governance dashboards, MIS, and presentations for senior leadership and committees.
- Collaborate with regional and group teams to ensure consistency of controls and governance practices
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to reinforce governance, conduct, and control awareness among teams.
- Champion the culture of strong risk ownership, control awareness, and ethical behavior
Job Duties & responsibilities
Preparing the BCP / BIA documentPreparing all other BCP related exercises / reports during the year- Staff recall, functional exercisesAttending the BCP and the BCAP DR drill during the year at the alternate sitesConduct Assurance Testing to assess Core Team and BU's proficiency in complying with CDD / AML Policy of the Bank / RegulatorMonitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to anti-money laundering, countering the financing of terrorism, and sanctions screeningIdentify control gaps and issues, and drive remediation efforts to strengthen the control environmentConduct Thematic Reviews to identify & mitigate AML / Financial Crime RiskAssist in investigating and resolving AML / KYC related issuesMaintain accurate records and update internal systemsStay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry trendsEngage key stakeholders to promote strong risk culture and ensure smooth implementation of governance and control initiativesSupport Trade Based AML audit and ensure timely closure of actionableImprove Controls / Compliance for IBG India; embed risk culture within IBG Team with special focus on building robust process for SME customersResponsible to track and reduce EDPMS / IDPMS outstanding for IBG clientsSupport monitoring other KRIs related to operational and credit risk.Support various audit submission including RBI, group and concurrent auditsRequired Experience
Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in AML / KYC
Education / Preferred Qualifications
CA / MBA / Graduate with minimum 4 + years of relevant experience in AML / KYCACAMS / CFE certification (desirable)Knowledge of financial markets and instruments (beneficial)Core Competencies
