We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business & Market Research Associate - Business Development to support our expansion across commercial sectors such as real estate, oil & gas, mining, and software solutions. This hybrid role combines business development with market and competitive research, ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to grow in both sales strategy and research-based decision-making. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and capable of generating actionable insights while also supporting lead generation, partner management, and proposal development under the guidance of senior team members.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct detailed market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for product and sales strategyAssist in sales research including pricing, positioning, and benchmarking across different marketsSupport partner management by identifying, onboarding, and maintaining effective communication with strategic partnersDrive outreach initiatives to expand the business network and gather actionable insightsPerform business research across sectors and compile actionable intelligence to support decision-makingCreate basic marketing content, presentations, and visual assets using tools like Canva and PowerPoint to support sales and outreachMaintain and update sales dashboards, reports, and performance trackersCollaborate with sales teams to support planning, pipeline building, and lead generation activitiesStay updated on industry developments and help transform insights into strategic inputsWork closely with leadership to translate research into executable business and sales plansSupport execution of monthly sales plans and assist in meeting individual and team targetsEngage with prospective clients to understand their needs, present company solutions, and support proposal developmentConduct outreach to generate leads in target industries and manage lead pipelinesMaintain and update CRM records (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho) to support the full sales cycle from outreach to closurePrepare and submit regular sales and research reports to track progress against goalsBuild knowledge of target industries (real estate, oil & gas, mining, software) to better position the company's offeringsRequirements :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field1-3 years of experience in business development, market research, sales, or client-facing roles-preferably in sectors such as real estate, oil & gas, mining, or software solutionsPreferred Skills :
Strong analytical and research skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesBasic content writing and visual design skillsFamiliarity with sales processes and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Excel)Proactive mindset and ability to work independentlyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tools like PowerPoint, Canva, and ExcelEnergetic, goal-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to learn from senior team members and contribute to shared goals
