Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Cypress and Selenium .

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to define test strategies and ensure product quality.

Perform API testing (REST / SOAP) using tools such as Postman or libraries like RestAssured .

Implement Java-based automation frameworks , ensuring code reusability, maintainability, and scalability.

Participate in CI / CD pipelines , integrating automated tests into build and release workflows.

Troubleshoot, analyze, and report defects, working closely with developers to drive resolutions.

Document test cases, execution results, and contribute to test planning and reporting .

(Good to Have) Leverage Generative AI tools for accelerating test case creation, test data generation, and documentation.

Must Have Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Cypress and Selenium for UI automation.

Proficiency in Java for automation scripting and framework development.

Solid experience in API testing (REST / SOAP) with tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar .

Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies , and defect management processes.
