Job description

webdew is looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites for our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of WordPress development best practices, as well as proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on client specifications
  • Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionality
  • Conduct quality assurance testing to identify and resolve issues before deployment
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for WordPress websites, including troubleshooting and bug fixes
  • Experience in speed optimization techniques
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Configure and customize WooCommerce functionalities like product pages, shopping carts, and payment gateways to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Proficient in setting up custom Woo commerce and other complex functionalities on both front end and back end as per the website requirement.

Requirements :

  • 3-5 years of experience in WordPress development
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
  • Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins
  • Hubspot CMS experience would be a bonus.
  • Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus
  • Experience with custom coding in WordPress, including developing custom functionality, hooks, and filters
  • Proficiency in PHP and MySQL for customizing WordPress functionality beyond standard themes and plugins
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug custom code efficiently
  • Familiarity with WordPress coding standards and best practices for maintaining clean, efficient, and secure code
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when implementing custom solutions to meet project requirements
