Role Description :
This is a full-time on-site role for an Inventory Supervisor located in Bengaluru South.
The Inventory Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing physical inventory, maintaining inventory control, and supervising the inventory team.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting inventory audits, ensuring accurate stock levels, managing inventory documentation, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
This role demands a keen eye for detail and effective communication to ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Ensure that the store is kept clean and organized.
- Prepare checklists for cleaning, material inward / outward, and material issuing.
- Conduct daily checks on storage racks, floors, and panels to maintain proper upkeep and hygiene.
- Ensure the cleanliness of all areas and maintain storage areas as per requirements.
- Label all stored goods appropriately.
- Coordinate with the operations team for all inward and outward movement of event materials and maintain up-to-date records.
- Work closely with the operations team regarding issued materials and report any shortages or damages.
- Physically verify all received goods against the delivery note / bill of supply.
- Immediately escalate any shortages or damages in issued materials and initiate necessary actions.
- Organize goods reception and ensure proper placement in designated storage areas.
- Monitor and conduct regular inventory counts.
- Ensure all requisitions (indents, material requests, etc.) are approved by the concerned department heads.
- Issue materials as per approved quantities and maintain up-to-date records of material consumption.
- Maintain daily inventory records in the Master Sheet.
- Coordinate monthly physical stock audits and circulate reports to respective departments (BNG / HYD / CHN).
- Develop and maintain an inventory tracking system to identify moving / non-moving items and report accordingly.
- Maintain all required inventory documents properly, including :
- Delivery Challan Returnable.
- Delivery Challan Non-returnable.
Key Area Responsibilities :
Follow up on invoices for all materials and ensure timely GRN (Goods Receipt Note) entries.Ensure accurate GRN entry and one-time submission of invoices to the Accounts department.Confirm that all delivered material invoices are properly accounted for in the books.Maintain checks and balances within the GRN process to ensure accurate invoice tracking and accounting.(ref : iimjobs.com)
