Ruby on Rails Developer

Job Title : Ruby on Rails Software EngineerLocation : BengaluruExperience : 6 to 9 yearsWe are seeking talented and motivated Ruby on Rails Software Engineers to join our global MNC team at our Bengaluru office. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. Opportunities are available for professionals with 6 to 9 years of relevant experience. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow between front-end and back-end systems.- Work with relational databases (RDBMS) and optimize queries for performance.- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers in an Agile environment.- Participate in story point estimation, sprint planning, and code reviews.- Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with best practices.- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following OOP principles.- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems as needed.- Contribute to continuous improvement by actively participating in retrospectives and suggesting process enhancements. Must-Have Skills : - 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.- Strong experience in designing and consuming REST APIs.- Proficiency in working with RDBMS (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and / or NoSQL (MongoDB).- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.- Experience with Agile methodologies and story point estimation.- Good understanding of application security best practices.- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.- Knowledge of TDD / BDD testing frameworks (RSpec, Minitest).
