Apache Hive Developer at BairesDev

We are seeking an Apache Hive Developer to work on data warehouse systems and large-scale batch analytics. You'll contribute to Apache Hive and related ecosystem projects (Spark, Iceberg, Hadoop), focusing on performance optimization and scalable architecture.

What You'll Do :

Contribute actively to Apache Hive and related open source projects as a core contributor.
Develop and optimize data warehouse solutions for large-scale analytical workloads.
Enhance HiveQL query optimization and metastore architecture for better performance.
Improve Hive integration with HDFS, Spark, and table formats like Iceberg.
Collaborate with engineering teams on system integration and deployment.

What we are looking for :

10+ years of experience in software development.

Strong expertise in data warehousing and large-scale batch processing systems.

Understanding of Apache Hive architecture, including metastore, HiveQL, and Hadoop integration.

Proficiency in Java

Experience in performance tuning of distributed systems at scale.

Core contributions to Apache open source projects (Hive, Spark, Hadoop, or similar).

Advanced level of English.
