Requirement : Need hands-on experience in Fabric data engineering, nature of work is to do POCs on Fabric for migrating existing Azure workloads to Fabric (One lake is the at play here)
JD :
- Design and implement POCs for migrating Azure workloads (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake) to Microsoft Fabric.
- Leverage OneLake as the unified data storage layer and explore its integration with existing pipelines.
- Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows using Fabric-native services.
- Collaborate with architecture and platform teams to evaluate performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of Fabric-based solutions.
- Document migration strategies, performance benchmarks, and lessons learned from POC implementations.
Required Skills :
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Data Engineering, Data Factory, and Direct Lake features.Strong understanding of OneLake architecture and its role in unified data storage.Proficiency in Azure data services (ADF, Synapse, ADLS, Azure SQL, etc.) and experience migrating workloads from Azure to Fabric.Familiarity with Power BI, Delta Lake, and lakehouse concepts.Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and orchestration is a plus.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working on enterprise-scale data platforms and cloud migration projects.Exposure to Databricks, AI / ML integration, or real-time analytics within Fabric is advantageous.Strong communication and documentation skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
