FB&T Enabling Solutions owns, designs, governs, deploys, and supports global template products critical to bp&aposs success, such as SAP Global Financial Template (GFT), Finance Business Warehouse, SAP Ariba, and Salesforce.

As a Solution Analyst (for Controlling and Resource-Related Billing), you will use your business and accounting knowledge to work on solution design relating to processes associated with in reporting, covering time-writing, allocation of overheads, and billing of recharges to entities across BP.

You&aposll also chip in your knowledge and experience towards new solution design using S / 4 HANA Finance as part of bp&aposs ERP Transformation

Enabling Solutions is Global spanning multiple locations and serving collaborators to craft, deploy, and sustain solutions.

This role has global exposure, and you will work closely with :

Solution domain expertise in different functions.

Business and Finance collaborators across the globe.

Transformation Project Managers and delivery teams.

IT Delivery teams.

Global Process Organisation.

ARC Operations teams.

ERP Transformation Project team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the governance of template solutions and bring design changes through the relevant design authority or forum.
  • For approved demand, understand business & complicated business processes and scenarios, and translate / break these down into a simplified set of requirements for which solutions can be investigated.
  • Propose designs for global standard solutions to meet business needs.
  • Explain concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Prepare or provide input to functional specifications for solution design.
  • Support the preparation, structure, and delivery of presentation materials for template familiarization, template fit-gap, solution design, user training, and team information sharing.
  • Support template fit-gap and user training sessions.
  • Support the peer review process for design changes, providing input and feedback.
  • Identify, analyse, and delineate problems.
  • Investigate and resolve solution incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Identify designs that need multi-functional input.
  • Advise others on integration considerations for interfaces coming from external systems.
  • For new designs or changes to craft, provide testing scenarios to ensure the solution is robust.
  • Where agreed, act as Solution Integration Lead for specific projects, providing support to the project teams and their interaction and solution needs with the rest of the solutions team.

  • A diverse landscape in bp SAP instances will require a detailed focus person for this role.

    • Education & Experience

  • Accountancy qualification (e.g., CIMA, CPA, ACA, ACCA). SAP Certified
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate sophisticated processes and influence a wide range of collaborators.
  • Experience in assembling business requirements and improving processes and systems.
  • General understanding of systems deployment activities.
  • Able to work and collaborate within a virtual distributed team
  • Ability to prioritize optimally.
  • Keen learner and be the authority on template solutions.
  • Constantly able to formulate and tackle problems.
  • A key teammate, being able to build positive relationships with business collaborators, technical teams

    • Product Experience & Expertise

  • Deep knowledge and significant experience of SAP FICO functionality, especially SAP CO. Experience with RRB is a nice to have.
  • Experience with RICEFW, and hands-on improvement experience.
  • Understand, embrace, and accept agile principles and agile ways of working.
  • Proficient with month-end closing processes, with a good understanding of the dependencies of closing steps, especially around controlling related tasks.
  • Knowledge of internal management reporting processes and requirements.
  • Significant experience with SAP, including a general solid grasp of transactional processes in an SAP environment.

    • Desirable Experience

  • 8+ years of work experience with systems and process design.
  • Experience working in a multinational organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas or Mining sector.
  • 4+ yrs experience in system design or SAP support.
