Assistant Manager- Maintenance (Mechanical)

Role

• Supervising Maintenance Operations : One of the primary responsibilities of an Assistant Manager – Maintenance (Mechanical) is to oversee the maintenance activities for all mechanical equipment and systems. This includes developing maintenance schedules, coordinating with maintenance technicians, and ensuring that all equipment is running at optimal efficiency.
• Technical Expertise : The assistant manager should have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to troubleshoot and diagnose potential issues. They should be familiar with a wide range of mechanical equipment, including HVAC systems, manufacturing machinery, and other industrial equipment.
• Developing Maintenance Plans : The assistant manager is responsible for developing comprehensive maintenance plans for all mechanical systems. This involves identifying potential maintenance needs, predicting equipment failures, and implementing proactive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
• Budget Management : In collaboration with the maintenance manager, the assistant manager is involved in preparing and managing the maintenance budget. • Safety and Compliance : It is the responsibility of the assistant manager to ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and industry standards. This includes conducting regular safety audits, providing training to maintenance staff, and keeping abreast of any changes in safety protocols.
• Team Leadership : The assistant manager is responsible for leading and managing the maintenance team, ensuring that each member is equipped with the necessary tools and training to execute their job effectively. • Inventory Management : The assistant manager is responsible for managing spare parts and inventory levels to ensure that the team has access to the necessary resources for maintenance and repairs.
