Position Description :

Plant Floor Systems(PFS) Product Driven Organization (PDO) is currently deploying an application called Octoplant across 47 Ford Manufacturing. Octoplant provides change management to the OT (Operational Technology) devices like PLC, HMI's , Robots, Cameras, Fasteners etc.. The resource in this position performs the following

1) Prepare PLC's and HMI in the test lab for testing required for rollout of Octoplant.

2) Provide training to team mates on PLC hardware and architecture.

3) Load PLC's with programs, change the programs if needed.

4) Configure Siemens PLC with Step7 or TIA Portal and Siemens HMI's

5)Configure Rockwell PLC's and Rockwell HMI's with Factory Talkview

6) Install required software like TIA Portal, RSlogix, Factory ME View.

7) Support PFS Team with work related to OT devices

8) Production Support , Incident Management and Problem Management

7) Support other PFS applications using DotNet, Full Stack.

8) Upskill in latest technologies.

Skills Required : PLC / CNC

Skills Preferred :

Full Stack Java Developer

Experience Required :

Engineer 2 Exp. : Practitioner : 1 coding language or framework. 4+ years in IT with PLC programming 2+ Any programming language , Preference is Java

Experience Preferred :

4 Years of experience with PLC programming (Siemens PLC's Siemen HMI, Rockwell PLC, Rockwell HMI's)

Additional Information :

The resource in this position performs the following Candidate is expected to have the following knowledge base

1) Exposure and hands-on experience on handling the PLCs such as a. Siemens S7-300, S7-1500 and software Simatic manager and TIA portal b. Rockwell L73, L84 series and software RSlogix 5000, Studio 5000 c. Siemens HMI WinCC Flexible, Advanced d. Rockwell HMI FT view studio e. Mitsubishi PLC and HMI

2) Exposure to the high level architecture from IT layer (Data center) to ground layer (PLC)

3) Knowledge on the industrial protocols used in the PLCs, HMIs & Robots

4) Knowledge on IP class, subnet and gateway

5) Awareness of the ABB, Kawasaki & Fanuc robots networking to the PLC & servers

6) Exposure on Factory Monitoring systems

7) Ability to design high-level architecture based on any new tech requirements

8) Ability to design, implement, test, and validate control systems for simple automated machinery and processes

9) Awareness on software version differences and consequences

10) Process knowledge on automotive sectors VO / PTO

11) Basic knowledge on networking and NATing

12) Ability to simplify the repetitive task using AI or simple RPA

13) Aware of Cloud systems such as GCP, Microsoft Azure, AWS
