Job descriptionPrimary & Secondary Cold Rolling, Annealing & Metallurgical process Control New Product Development and Feasibility Study Material Characterization, Metallurgical & Mechanical testing of Stainless Steel Products, Instrumental Analysis of Raw Materials & Finished products, Corrosion testing, Drawability & Polishability testing Statistical Analysis and Predictive Analytical Tool (R-analysis) Trial Plans, Quality Plans & SOP Formulations System & Process Documentation, Product Certification, Quality Audit Customer Complaint & Failure Analysis An effective communicator with excellent relationship management skill and strong analytical problem solving & organizational abilities Strong knowledge of different type of steel and Material Test Certificates (MTC). Familiarity with manufacturing Quality Codes and Standards, as well as experience in coordinating Third Party Inspections (TPI) and preparing Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) based on Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) requirements. Manage QA subordinate team Set up customer specification as per applicable standards Cost reduction through various Process development & Continuous Improvement Projects, KAIZEN Part of Cross Functional Team (CFT) for reduction of internal rejection & Root cause analysis & fixing Rejection analysis using QC tools, 8D, Fishbone diagram Calibration & AMC of testing instruments of QA Lab Online / offline Inspection & Testing set up Process Auditing, Maintaining Process parameters Implementation of Lean Quality Tools (Pareto Charts, FMEA, Fishbone diagrams, 8D methodology) Compliance with requirement of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS Homologation compliance) Statistical Process Control Customer specification in line with National & International standards(IS,EN,ASTM,AS / NZ) Assisting customer for technical support, Handling complaints & raising CAPA Feedback register maintenance for Downstream, In house product
Quality Assurance- Cold Rolling Division (Annealing and Bright Annealing Line, Pickling Line, slitting)
- Lead and manage the quality control processes for stainless steel strips, with a strong focus on strip cold rolling, Annealing & Pickling, slitting operations.
- Manage quality checks for the product process start to end, ensuring proper measurements, tolerances, and finishing of products.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance systems to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Ensure compliance with ASTM, BIS standards and implement industry best practices for product quality and safety.
- Sound knowledge in Product Failure Analysis, Microscopy, Phase diagram, Metallography
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformities.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections on production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Oversee packing department activities, ensuring materials are packed and dispatched to meet quality requirements.
- Train and mentor the production team on quality standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, packing, and logistics, to resolve quality issues and optimize operations.
- Prepare detailed quality reports for management and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
