Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced

ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist

with strong expertise in managing end-to-end software asset lifecycle within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAM modules, license management, software compliance, and process automation.

Key Responsibilities :

Implement and manage

ServiceNow SAM module , including setup, configuration, and optimization.

Utilize

license reconciliation and entitlement management

to ensure software compliance and cost optimization.

Manage

software normalization

and handle complex licensing models for multiple vendors.

Monitor and maintain

software compliance and health reports

through dashboards and analytics in ServiceNow.

Work extensively with

ServiceNow Software Asset Workspace

to streamline SAM processes and track KPIs.

Configure and customize workflows for

software license reclamation, optimization, and renewal tracking .

Leverage

ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB integrations

for accurate software asset identification and data correlation.

Implement

automation and workflows

to manage the software asset lifecycle efficiently.

Use

License Workbench

for proactive asset optimization and license usage tracking.

Collaborate with ITAM, procurement, and compliance teams to align SAM processes with organizational policies.

Required Skills & Experience :

Minimum

7 years of experience

in IT Asset Management, with at least

3–4 years in ServiceNow SAM .

Strong understanding of

ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, and integrations .

Hands-on experience with

Software Asset Workspace ,

License Workbench , and

SAM Publisher Packs .

Expertise in

software license compliance ,

vendor management , and

normalization rules .

Experience in

creating reports and dashboards

for audit and compliance tracking.

ServiceNow CIS–SAM or ITAM certification

preferred.

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have : Exposure to

Hardware Asset Management (HAM)

or

ITAM

modules.

Experience working with

multiple license models (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.) .

Prior experience in

SAM process implementation or transformation projects .
