About the Role :

As a US Tax Senior, you will play a key role in expanding our tax outsourcing services, specifically targeting CPA firms across the United States. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this role. You will be responsible for building and leading a team of tax professionals who are well-versed in U.S. business tax regulations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review US Federal Partnership tax returns (Form 1065) Real Estate and Operating Partnership entities.
  • Review Schedule K-1s and ensure accurate Book-to-Tax reconciliations.
  • Assist in reviewing extension tax liability projections and electronic filing packages.
  • Share technical knowledge with peers and support team leads in managing deliverables.
  • Conduct financial research and apply insights to tax planning and compliance.
  • Perform quality checks on final deliverables before client submission.
  • Utilize tax software (e.g., CCH, UltraTax, SurePrep) for efficient tax return preparation.
  • Provide training on pass-through entities and assist junior team members.
  • Contribute to team discussions and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Address sub-standard work and ensure alignment with client and firm expectations.
  • Use data and insights to support decision-making and process improvements.
  • Simplify complex tax concepts and communicate key points effectively.
  • Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and maintain confidentiality of client and firm information.
  • Execute assignments with appropriate delegation and timely follow-up.
  • Encourage team development and take ownership of personal growth.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Strong understanding of US partnership taxation for Real Estate and Operating entities.
  • Excellent project management and operational skills.

  • Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, and effective time management.
  • Experience in managing client correspondence, budgeting, and scheduling.

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in US Federal Tax – Partnership (Form 1065).
  • Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA certification is an added advantage.
  • Strong technical knowledge of US tax laws and compliance.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tax engagements simultaneously, track progress, and drive timely completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences—internal teams and clients.
