ESM - Head of Recruitment (Based in India)
1. Role Summary
The Global Head of Recruitment will define and execute the worldwide talent acquisition strategy for ESM, ensuring high-quality, scalable recruitment across all regions. Based in India, this leader will directly manage regional Talent Acquisition (TA) teams in the USA, UK, South Africa (SA), and India, while also driving active recruitment for critical roles in the USA. This role requires a strategic leader with deep operational expertise in international recruiting, compliance, team management, and a commitment to working flexibly across multiple time zones to effectively manage a diverse set of global stakeholders.
2. Key Responsibilities
Global Strategy, Team Leadership, and Stakeholder Management
- Global Stakeholder Management : Serve as the primary trusted advisor to executive leadership and global HR Business Partners (HRBPs) across all regions (USA, UK, SA, India), providing strategic workforce planning insights and managing expectations on hiring timelines and market realities.
- Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a globally dispersed team of TA Managers and Recruiters, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and consistent service delivery across diverse cultural and geographic teams.
- Time Zone Flexibility : Maintain a flexible work schedule to ensure regular, productive communication and operational overlap with teams and key stakeholders in US and UK working hours.
- Budget & Metrics : Manage the global TA budget, define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Time-to-Hire, Cost-per-Hire, and Quality of Hire, and present consolidated performance data to the Executive team.
- Technology & Tools : Own the global Applicant Tracking System (ATS) strategy and drive adoption of recruiting technologies to maximize global team efficiency.
USA Recruitment & Operational Excellence
Active Recruitment (USA) : Personally manage a requisition load focused on senior, specialized, or critical roles within the USA region, serving as the lead recruiter and subject matter expert for US hiring.Market Expertise : Provide expert guidance and market intelligence on US compensation and regional talent pools.Standardization & Compliance : Implement standardized global operating procedures (SOPs), screening processes, and interviewer training across all regions, ensuring full compliance with local labor laws and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).3. Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience
8+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, with a minimum of 3 years in a global or multi-regional leadership role managing teams across different countries.Direct, recent experience managing recruitment operations in the USA and India is mandatory.Critical Competencies
Exceptional Stakeholder Management : Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus among senior leaders and stakeholders across different cultural backgrounds and functional departments.Time Zone Agility : Demonstrated experience and willingness to adapt working hours to effectively manage teams and conduct meetings with the USA (PST / EST), UK (GMT), and SA time zones from a base in India.Global Acumen : Expert cross-cultural management and communication skills.Strategic & Analytical : Strong ability to use data (KPIs, market trends) to inform strategic decisions and process improvements.Communication : Fluent professional English communication (written and verbal) is essential.Location & Travel
