About the Role :

Position Title : Application Support / Technical System Analyst

Job Profile :

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Application Support / Technical System Analyst to manage and enhance our vendor package applications, specifically in Nostro Reconciliation. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business users to ensure seamless application performance and to drive system improvements, Application requirement analysis, system design, programming and testing of Banking Application Software Systems. The successful candidate will be part of an existing dynamic regional team in charge of systems that are used across the APAC MUFG branches. You will be expected to play an important role in ensuring good quality, timely delivery of the system solutions .

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Application Management : Oversee Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities, ensuring the stability and efficiency of vendor package applications.
  • Issue Resolution : Collaborate with users and vendors to promptly address and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with diverse teams to identify and address root causes of system problems, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Requirements Gathering : Engage with business users to collect requirements, facilitating the development, testing, and implementation of system enhancements.
  • Coordination : Liaise with teams across Singapore, Head Office, and Branches to coordinate system-related activities and ensure alignment.
  • Proactive Improvement : Identify opportunities for system optimization and documentation enhancements to add value and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support Availability : Provide on-call and onsite support during after-hours, weekends, and public holidays as needed, covering application support and deployment activities.

Job Requirements :

  • Experience in nostro reconciliation domain for Corporate Banking. Any experience in the BR ProActive system will be preferred.
  • Proficient in gathering and analyzing Business Requirement, Technical & Functional Specification Design documentation, test case design.
  • Knowledge of all phases of IT system development and implementation life cycle including Agile methodology.
  • Knowledge in VB, .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Windows, API integration is preferred.
  • Strong and patient analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good inter-personnel and communication skills across a wide range of people
  • Self-motivated and possess drive, and ability to work independently and a good team player
  • Experienced in working with different teams on medium to complex regional channel systems will be an advantage.

  • Technical Proficiency :

  • Strong experience with VB .NET and Java; familiarity with IBM MQ and database management systems like MSSQL etc.
  • Analytical Skills :

  • Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions .
  • Communication Skills :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving :

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating issues.
  • Flexibility :

  • Willingness to provide support during non-standard hours as required.
  • Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
