Job description

Job Title : Quality Assurance Engineer II

Location : Bengaluru (Work From Office) – Hybrid

Experience : 3–6 years

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Quality Assurance Engineer II (QAE II) to ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of our SaaS products. The ideal candidate has strong experience in manual, automation, and API testing , along with a solid grasp of CI / CD workflows and modern testing frameworks . You will collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to drive end-to-end quality ownership across releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases and automation scripts for web and API applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for product releases.
  • Implement test automation frameworks (preferably Playwright or Selenium).
  • Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
  • Validate data integrity and perform SQL / database testing .
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to ensure CI / CD pipeline integration of automated tests.
  • Participate in bug triage, root cause analysis, and release readiness reviews.
  • Work on test data management, environment readiness , and release validation.
  • Contribute to performance and load testing initiatives.
  • Adopt modern tools (AI-assisted testing, code-based testing approaches) for test optimization and faster delivery.

Technical Skills

  • Automation Frameworks : Playwright, Selenium, TestNG, or similar
  • API Testing Tools : Postman, RestAssured, Swagger
  • Programming / Scripting : Java, JavaScript, or Python (hands-on required)
  • Database : SQL fundamentals, query writing, and data validation
  • CI / CD : Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalent
  • Defect Tracking & Collaboration : JIRA, Confluence
  • Performance / Load Testing : JMeter, k6 (good to have)
  • AI Tools : Familiarity with tools like Cursor, Windsurf (optional but desirable)

    • Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ownership-driven, proactive, and detail-focused
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic product environment

    • Preferred (Good to Have)

  • Experience in SaaS or product-based environments
  • Exposure to Azure-based infrastructure or test environments
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted test automation
  • Knowledge of performance or security testing concepts
