We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support institutional performance monitoring, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making. The candidate will work closely with university leadership to track key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate academic outcomes, benchmark competitors, and provide insights that improve operational and academic effectiveness.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Dashboard Development & Reporting.
- Develop and maintain multi-page, interactive Power BI dashboards to monitor KPIs across different schools and departments.
- Build performance monitoring dashboards that highlight institutional gaps and support strategic decision-making for university leadership.
- Ensure dashboards are visually intuitive, automated, and updated regularly for stakeholder use.
2. Institutional Ranking & Performance Analytics
Analyze official NIRF parameters and datasets to predict the university’s potential ranking in the “University Category.”Apply statistical methods to identify drivers of ranking performance and recommend improvement strategies.Prepare periodic ranking assessment reports for leadership.3. Competitor & Benchmark Analysis
Develop Competitor Benchmarking Dashboards to compare institutional performance with top Skill Universities across :KPI metricsNIRF indicatorsFaculty profilesStudent demographicsAcademic performanceProvide insights on competitive positioning and improvement areas.4. Student Performance & Result Data Analysis
Perform deep-dive analysis of student result data using statistical techniques such as :Bell Curve AnalysisKDE (Kernel Density Estimation)Normal Distribution ModelingIdentify performance trends, outliers, and areas requiring intervention.Collaborate with academic teams to support student performance improvement strategies.5. Data Management & Decision Support
Collect, clean, and transform large datasets from multiple sources within the university.Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all reports and dashboards.Provide actionable insights through ad-hoc reports, presentations, and data storytelling.Required Skills & Competencies : -
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in Power BI , including DAX, data modeling, and creation of interactive dashboards.Expertise in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib / Seaborn preferred).Strong command over SQL (queries, joins, data extraction & transformation).Skilled in Tableau for dashboard building and data visualization.Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, advanced functions, automation tools).Strong capabilities in Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) .Experience in data cleaning, data transformation , and maintaining high data quality.Analytical & Statistical Skills
Solid understanding of statistical methods such as KDE, Normal Distribution, correlation, trend analysis, and outlier detection.Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into meaningful, actionable insights.Communication & Domain Skills
Strong communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.Ability to create structured documentation and analytical reports for leadership.Experience in academic analytics, institutional research, or education sector analysis is a plusQualifications
MBA preferred (Specialization in Finance or Operations ).Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field is acceptable.Relevant experience in data analysis, BI tools, or educational analytics will be an advantage.
