Job description

AKA Logistics Pvt. Ltd is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Techno-Commercial Professional (25-30+ years' experience) to lead the Tendering & Proposals function for Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of Thermal Power Plants covering both BTG (Boiler, Turbine, Generator) and BoP (Balance of Plant) packages. The ideal candidate will bring a rich experience in handling high-value tenders, bidding strategy, client interactions, technical evaluation and cost estimation for domestic and international projects. Required candidates preferably with a background in the thermal power sector / Operations & Maintenace sector / EPC Contractor / Service Industry

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the end-to-end tendering process for O&M contracts related to thermal power plants (BTG + BoP)

Formulate bid strategies, assess risks & define winning pricing models for competitive advantage.

Analyze tender documents (RFQ / RFP), identify key commercial, contractual, & technical clauses, coordinate with internal stakeholders to prepare compliant and compelling proposals.

Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Legal & O&M execution teams to gather inputs for bid documentation and techno-commercial submissions.

Conduct cost estimation and budgeting of manpower, materials, consumables, spares, tools & tackles & third-party services based on site requirements and scope of work.

Develop rate analysis, pricing templates & cost control mechanisms to ensure profitable and competitive bids.

Maintain an updated database of historical bids, benchmarks & vendor quotes for reference and optimization.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, client negotiations & clarification processes to ensure alignment with customer expectations.

Drive digitalization and continuous improvement of the tendering process through the adoption of tools, templates & data-driven decision-making.

Track tender results, win-loss analysis, and industry trends to refine bidding strategy.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong command of contractual and commercial terms (e.g., payment terms, LDs, performance guarantees, taxes / duties, etc.)

Expertise in costing, estimation & bid preparation.

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Proficient in MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to SAP, ERP or tender management tools is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and engage with clients and partners.
