projects across Tamil Nadu. We focus on

eco-restoration, hydrological studies, DPR and ESIA preparation, and climate adaptation planning

under TNUIFSL and KfW frameworks.

We are seeking a skilled

GIS Expert

who can transform spatial and environmental data into actionable insights to support sustainable infrastructure development.

Role Overview

The

GIS Expert

will be responsible for handling geospatial data analysis, hydrological and catchment mapping, and thematic map preparation for ongoing DPR and ESIA projects. The role involves close coordination with environmental engineers, hydrologists, and planners to deliver technically accurate spatial outputs aligned with project frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct

catchment delineation, slope, and drainage network analysis

using satellite imagery and DGPS data.

Prepare

thematic and base maps

(LULC, soil, flood zones, biodiversity, infrastructure, etc.) for DPRs and ESIAs.

Support

hydrological modelling and water resource planning

using GIS-based tools.

Integrate and manage multi-source spatial data from field surveys and remote sensing.

Ensure

map accuracy, projection consistency, and metadata documentation .

Collaborate with

Environmental, Civil, and Climate teams

to visualize project interventions.

Generate outputs compliant with

TNUIFSL / KfW submission formats .

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in

Geoinformatics, Geography, Environmental Science, or Civil Engineering .

2–6 years

of experience in GIS for DPR, ESIA, or hydrological projects (freshers with strong skills may apply).

Proficiency in

ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS, AutoCAD, or Global Mapper .

Understanding of

drainage, watershed, and terrain analysis .

Good knowledge of

data visualization, cartographic design, and spatial analytics .

Strong coordination and documentation skills with attention to technical accuracy.
