As our system scales, we are facing complex database challenges that require deep expertise to diagnose and optimize performance at the engine level.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Database Consultant (DBA Expert) to partner with our engineering team for a short duration. The goal is to identify, diagnose, and resolve critical database performance and reliability issues —including memory leaks, inefficient queries, and resource contention in production workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit and benchmark production database clusters (MySQL and related ecosystem).
• Identify and resolve memory leaks, deadlocks, slow queries, and connection pool inefficiencies.
• Review schema design, indexing strategy, and data partitioning for scalability.
• Tune database parameters (InnoDB, caching, replication, etc.) for optimal performance.
• Mentor internal backend engineers on database best practices and performance tuning.
• Provide a final recommendation and documentation report summarizing fixes and preventive measures.
