Job Description

A. Production & Operations Management

1. Nursery Expertise : Apply working knowledge and expertise in nursery management and

advanced plant production methods to ensure high-quality output.

2. Planning & Forecasting : Develop detailed plans and forecast plant production volumes for

the unit, aligning production schedules with projected sales and demand.

3. Execution : Take charge of planning and executing the production of plants effectively

across all designated APD campuses.

4. Innovation : Monitor and understand new trends in nursery and horticulture and be able to

adopt them rapidly to improve efficiency and output.

5. Target Focus : Drive a target-orientated culture within the unit, ensuring tasks are

completed efficiently to meet production goals.

B. Team Management & Training

6. Team Leadership (PWDs) : Manage, motivate, and mentor the team of PWDs involved in

production, fostering an inclusive, supportive, and safe working environment.

7. Training : Develop and deliver practical Horticulture training programs for students, staff,

and volunteers, focusing on essential plant production skills.

C. Administration & Costing

8. Costing : Possess robust knowledge of production costing principles to monitor material

usage, minimize waste, and ensure products are priced competitively.

9. Tally Knowledge : Utilize working knowledge in Tally ERP for accurate input of production-

related data and inventory tracking.

10. Procurement Support : Assist the Commercial Manager by providing specifications and

technical requirements for the procurement of raw materials and tools essential for

production activities.
