About the Role

We are a growing startup seeking a hands-on Manager / Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts to set up and lead our finance function. The role involves managing end-to-end accounting, compliance, financial planning, and cash flow to support rapid business growth. The candidate will play a key role in building robust financial systems, driving process efficiency, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

  • Manage end-to-end accounting, general ledger, and month-end / year-end closing.
  • Ensure accurate preparation and timely finalization of financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain internal control systems and accounting policies.
  • Prepare and present monthly MIS, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
  • Oversee reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor / customer ledgers, and inter-company transactions.

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, PF / ESI, Income Tax, MCA, etc.).
  • Coordinate and liaise with statutory, internal, and tax auditors.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of evolving financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance readiness for audits and due diligence.

    • Operations & Business Partnering

  • Work closely with business, HR, and operations teams to align financial practices with company goals.
  • Oversee vendor management, payment processing, and credit control.
  • Manage payroll coordination and employee reimbursements in collaboration with HR.

    • Requirements

  • Qualification : Semi-Qualified CA (Inter CA) with 5–8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Indian GAAP, accounting standards, taxation, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
