Job description

Requirements

  • 3–5 years hands‑on experience building backend systems using Python, Java, or JavaScript (Node.js)
  • At least one production‑deployed project
  • Strong understanding of REST API design, data modeling, and backend architecture
  • Proficiency with version control (Git), testing, and maintainable coding
  • Familiarity with authentication mechanisms (e.g., JWT), API security, and performance optimization
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage timelines effectively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred); AWS Certified Developers (Associate level or above) are prioritized
  • Prior experience in financial or data‑heavy systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance, reliable APIs and backend services
  • Collaborate with product and frontend teams to translate business and user needs into scalable technical solutions
  • Define database schemas and overall system architecture based on requirements
  • Write clean, well‑documented, and convention‑aligned code
  • Integrate backend with third‑party APIs and external systems
  • Ensure backend systems are reliable, secure, and performant
  • Contribute to technical decision‑making and help refine development processes
