Job Title : Field Service Engineer – Generator Section (Ashok Leyland Engines)

Department : Service / After Sales

Job Summary :

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for performing installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Ashok Leyland diesel generator engines and related electrical systems. The role involves on-site service support, fault diagnosis, repair execution, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Attend customer sites for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Ashok Leyland generator sets.
  • Diagnose engine and alternator faults (mechanical, electrical, and electronic).
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generators.
  • Conduct routine checks on AMF panels, control wiring, battery systems, and fuel systems.
  • Prepare and submit detailed service reports, inspection findings, and repair estimates.
  • Coordinate with the service team for spare parts planning and warranty claims.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on operation and maintenance practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards during all site operations.
  • Support in training junior technicians and assisting in technical documentation.

Required Skills and Competencies :

  • Strong knowledge of Ashok Leyland engines and DG set systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and control circuit drawings.
  • Good communication and customer handling skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge for report preparation and documentation.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for site support.

    • Qualification & Experience :

  • Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of experience in field service of diesel generator sets

    • Additional Requirements :

  • Valid two-wheeler driving license preferred.

    • Job Types : Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

    Pay : ₹12, ₹21,000.00 per month
