Role Overview
IT Head is responsible for overseeing the information technology (IT) strategy, managing IT infrastructure and operations (inclusive of SAP and other applications), overseeing budgets, leading IT staff, ensuring data security and ensuring IT related projects and innovations. The IT head involves setting IT policies, managing vendor relationships and ensures system performance and reporting to senior management.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership :
Develop and lead the organization’s IT strategy in alignment with overall
business objectives.
Advise executive leadership on emerging technologies and digital transformation opportunities.
Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement in technology services.
Technology Management and operations :
o Oversee the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide IT systems, infrastructure including network architecture and applications.
o Ensure IT systems are secure, reliable, and scalable with appropriate firewall
o Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve business performance.
o Ensure high system performance with zero down time
Responsible for IT assets and access management
- Governance Risk
o Develop IT governance policies, ensuring compliance with regulations, data protection laws, and industry standards.
o Manage risk through robust cybersecurity practices and disaster recovery planning.
o Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff to meet current and future organizational needs.
o Promote collaboration between IT and other departments to maximize technology value.
o Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology investments.
o Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management.
o Management and negotiation of applications licenses.
o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (required).
o Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).
o 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, including 5+ years in a senior / executive capacity.
o Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation projects.
o Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and AI.
o Strategic thinking and business acumen.
o Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to align IT strategies with business objectives.
o Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
