Job Description :
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with 8 to 10 years of hands-on expertise in VMware technologies and strong operational capabilities in end-user computing environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge and a proven track record in managing and supporting complex virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments not virtual server environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and support BAU operations and initiatives, with at least 5 years of experience in a support role.
- Administer and troubleshoot VMware solutions including vSphere, Horizon, vSAN, VRA, VRO, hypervisors, clusters, networking, and datastores .
- Manage and support VMware Horizon View client / agent environments, connection servers , and VDI infrastructure.
- Perform L3-level support for end-user upgrade and migration projects .
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure SLA adherence for RCA submission and resolution planning (e.g., patch management and fix implementation).
- Leverage advanced scripting using PowerShell, PowerCLI, and Python for inventory management, reporting, log collection, remote debugging, and automation.
- Utilize tools such as SysTrack, Splunk, Process Monitor, trace logs , and dump analysis for advanced troubleshooting of VMware and Microsoft endpoint technologies.
- Handle incident and change management processes in large enterprise environments, including coordination across multiple technology teams.
- Participate in triage and incident resolution involving technologies like virtualization, operating systems, real-time communication, collaboration tools, managed print services , and mobile device management.
- Ensure accurate tracking of incidents and changes using standard ITSM tools and reporting systems.
Key Skills & Competencies :
Deep knowledge of VMware VDI solutions , especially Horizon View (not server virtualization) .Strong expertise in PowerShell / PowerCLI / Python scripting .Proficient in using diagnostic tools for log analysis and performance monitoring .Excellent communication skills , with the ability to interact and present to various stakeholders.Demonstrated self-starter with a proactive, persistent, and positive work ethic ( 3Ps ).Hands-on experience with the latest Microsoft platforms and end-user computing technologies .Capable of managing operations that span multiple technologies across infrastructure and collaboration services.
