Job Summary

To drive strategic marketing, pricing, and portfolio management for WACKER’s polymer dispersions and adhesives segment in India and Asia . This regional role is critical in shaping business growth by aligning technical knowledge with market strategy, especially for Dispersions in Adhesives & other segments. The role requires close collaboration with sales, R&D, and technical service teams to translate market intelligence into actionable initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Market Insights : Lead market analysis to identify opportunities and challenges across targeted segments for Dispersions (Adhesives & other market segments as assigned). Generate insights from industry, competitors, and customers to steer strategic direction.

Business Strategy & Portfolio Optimization : Shape and execute long-term business strategies in collaboration with regional and global stakeholders. Drive product portfolio optimization and ensure alignment with customer needs and market potential.

Pricing Strategy : Own the pricing strategy for the region by analyzing cost structures, market data, value propositions, and competitive positioning - guide teams on margin enhancement through strategic value pricing.

New Market & Application Development : Identify unmet market needs and emerging application trends and business implications. Partner with Technical Service, R&D and stake holders in the value chain to co-develop solutions that aligns with future growth areas.

Marketing Execution & Lead Generation : Develop regional marketing plans including communication campaigns, customer development initiatives, and lead generation programs. Leverage digital tools and CRM systems to manage activities and outcomes effectively.

Internal Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing : Coordinate with global and regional sales, marketing, and product management teams. Ensure continuous knowledge transfer and provide market insights to cross-functional teams.

Customer & Channel Engagement : In partnership with sales, engage key customers and influencers to strengthen relationships, gather market intelligence, and co-create value-driven solutions.

Job Requirements

  • BSc in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or BSc in Marketing, combined with sound experience in the Chemical industry
  • 7-10 years of B2B marketing within the Chemical industry, ideally in Polymers Emulsions / Additives / Coatings / Construction Chemicals
  • Strong technical understanding of Polymer emulsions or adjacent experience
  • Proven track record in leading pricing and portfolio strategy with measurable business impact
  • Proficient in Marketing Analytics & Digital platforms, and market intelligence tools such as Tableau, Nielsen, or similar
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as SAP or Salesforce is an advantage
  • Comfortable working in a matrix organization across cultures and time zones
  • Willing to travel across India and Asia as required
