Job description

Title : Academic Operations Associate

Location : Indore

Department : Academic Operations

Reports to : Centre Head / Regional Operations Lead

Role Summary :

The Academic Operations role at Unacademy is responsible for ensuring seamless execution of academic plans, maintaining schedules, coordinating with educators, managing student-related queries, and supporting the backend operations of offline and online classes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Academic Calendar Execution :

Coordinate with educators and planning teams to implement academic calendars, timetables, and class schedules efficiently.

  • Educator Coordination :
  • Facilitate onboarding, scheduling, and performance tracking of educators; ensure attendance and punctuality for classes.

  • Student Experience Management :
  • Serve as the point of contact for student queries related to classes, schedules, assignments, and assessments; ensure a smooth academic journey.

  • Classroom & Centre Management (Offline Centres) :
  • Oversee the functioning of classrooms, including logistics like AV equipment, seating, attendance systems, and learning materials.

  • Monitoring & Reporting :
  • Track academic delivery metrics (attendance, performance, feedback); prepare and present daily / weekly reports to internal stakeholders.

  • Assessment & Exam Coordination :
  • Manage the execution of tests, evaluations, and results processing with the academic team.

  • Stakeholder Communication :
  • Act as a communication bridge between students, parents, educators, and the central academic team.

  • Process Improvement :
  • Identify bottlenecks in academic operations and suggest improvements to optimize learning outcomes and operational efficiency.

    Qualifications & Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Education / Management background preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, preferably in an EdTech or educational setup.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets, Excel, and basic data handling.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Preferred Attributes :

  • Passion for education and learner success.
  • Prior experience in academic delivery or working with educators.
  • Tech-savvy and quick learner of internal tools and CRMs.
