We’re Hiring :  Lead Science teacher| Varanasi, IndiaA well-established international school inVaranasiis seeking aLead Science Teacherwith a strong background in theCambridge (CAIE)and / orInternational Baccalaureate (IB)curriculum. The ideal candidate will guide and inspire ourPrimary School Teamthroughinquiry-based, hands-on scientific learning , mentor fellow educators, and foster a spirit ofcuriosity, innovation, and critical thinkingamong students.Key Responsibilities : Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a cohesive, concept-driven Science curriculum aligned withIB PYPand / orCambridge Primary (CAIE)frameworks.Model and promoteinquiry-based, experiential learningapproaches that foster scientific thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving among students.Coach and mentor Science and homeroom teachers in effective inquiry pedagogy, unit planning, assessment design, and differentiation strategies.Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of Science learning outcomes across grade levels, and facilitateinterdisciplinary and transdisciplinary connectionswith other subject areas.Oversee the development and moderation offormative and summative assessmentsthat reflect IB / CAIE expectations and measure conceptual understanding and scientific inquiry skills.Lead initiatives to enhance teaching and learning throughSTEM / STEAM integration , digital tools, lab-based inquiry, and real-world application of scientific concepts.Organize and facilitate internal workshops, collaborative planning sessions, and continuous professional development aligned withIB / CAIE philosophy and standards .Collaborate with the academic leadership team to uphold the school’s vision for excellence in Science education and contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives.Qualification and Experience : Master’s or Bachelor's degree inScience(Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or General Science) orEducation with Science specialization .B.Ed or equivalent professional teaching certification or license is preferred.Formal training inIB PYPand / orCambridge (CAIE) Primary Sciencecurriculum is highly desirable.5+ years of teaching experiencein Primary Science, preferably ininternational or IB / CAIE schools .Demonstrate experience incurriculum planning, assessment design, and instructional leadership .Proven track record ofmentoring teachersand leadingteam-based projects .Experience inintegrating inquiry-based learning, STEM / STEAM, and interdisciplinary approachesinto classroom practice.Why join us?Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and qualifications.A collaborative, supportive, and innovative school environment.Opportunity to lead a team of passionate educators.Opportunity to shape young minds through world-class pedagogyIf you are passionate about transformational education and ready to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you!
