Job Description - Chief of Staff
The Chief of Staff (CoS) will act as a strategic thought partner and execution anchor to the CEO / Business Head, enabling effective decision-making, driving cross-functional priorities, and ensuring disciplined execution of the company’s strategic agenda. This role combines strategy, business analytics, project management, and stakeholder alignment in a fast-paced D2C environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Business Enablement
- Partner with the leadership on annual operating plans, strategic initiatives, and long-term growth priorities.
- Conduct structured problem-solving, business analysis, and scenario planning to support key decisions.
- Track strategic initiatives and ensure timely execution with measurable outcomes.
2. Cross-Functional Execution
- Drive alignment across functions (Marketing, D2C, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Tech).
- Act as a central coordination point for high-impact, cross-functional programs.
- Identify bottlenecks, resolve execution gaps, and escalate risks proactively.
3. Business Performance & Analytics
- Own preparation of CEO-level dashboards, MIS, and business reviews.
- Analyze performance trends across revenue, margins, CAC, retention, inventory, and working capital.
- Translate data into insights and actionable recommendations.
4. Stakeholder & Leadership Management
- Prepare leadership presentations, board decks, and investor updates.
- Support leadership meetings with clear agendas, outcomes, and follow-ups.
- Act as a trusted confidant to the Business Head while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
5. Special Projects & Transformation
- Lead high-priority initiatives such as new category launches, channel expansion, org design changes, or process transformation.
- Support change management during leadership or business transitions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 6–10 years of experience in consulting, strategy, or high-growth D2C/FMCG organizations.
- MBA from a Tier 1 institute
- Strong business acumen with hands-on execution mindset.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High ownership, maturity, and ability to operate with ambiguity.
- Comfortable working directly with senior leadership and influencing without authority.
