Job Description - Instrument Engineer
Qualification & Skills
B Tech / B.E in instrumentation Engineering or electronics engineering having good experience in instrumentation with experience in design, selecting, Installation & commissioning of industrial instruments.
Candidate must have experience in PLC & HMI programming.
Project Location , hence frequent travel
Position needs continuous travel to customer site. Candidate must stay at customer location anywhere in India. Due to regular change in sites every month,
Engineer (Projects) responsibilities include :
1. Prepare & coordinate project schedules, resources planning, equipment, material and information with Projects Engineers / In-charges.
2. Understand customer need of control philosophy. Make design of instrument control system. select correct instrument, Installation & commissioning
3. Act as a SPOC for the specific project & maintain personal accountability, communicate assertively and constructively to Head - Project / Management.
4. Define scope of assigned project & Prepare MTS of project by self depending on the resource availability and time constraints.
5. Estimate timeline of the project & monitor the progress, make sure the project deadlines are met, resolve any issues that arise to avoid fallouts like unsafe operations at site, project delays, poor quality.
6. Monitor & ensure compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA / QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
7. On need basis, meet customers and resolve their technical and commercial queries of project assigned to you.
Requirements
1. An ability to resolve issue with PLC, HMI or specific instrument of equipment
2. Decision making ability and leadership skills, including multitasking and time-management (Monitor / Mentor)
3. Strong customer-facing and teamwork skills
Ready to travel across India and abroad at short notice and spend time on project sites
