Job Summary

The Senior Civil Engineer (Site-Based) will oversee the design, planning, supervision, and execution of civil engineering works on residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

This position requires strong technical competence, leadership ability, and hands-on project management experience in buildings and infrastructure works — including roads, water, and sewerage systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate civil engineering activities across multiple projects.
• Prepare, review, and approve designs, structural drawings, and technical specifications.
• Supervise site operations to ensure quality control and safety compliance.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, material procurement, and subcontractors.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Conduct risk assessments and resolve on-site technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with Botswana’s building codes, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and site staff.
• Prepare and present progress reports and documentation to management and clients.
