Job description
  • Supervise and lead a team of Medical Representatives (MRs) in the assigned territory.
  • Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the area.
  • Develop and implement area-specific sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Conduct fieldwork with MRs to support product promotion and ensure effective doctor coverage.
  • Monitor and ensure daily reporting, doctor call average, and secondary sales by MRs.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), doctors, and stockists .
  • Ensure timely stock availability at distributor and retail levels.
  • Conduct training, motivation, and performance evaluations of MRs to improve productivity.
  • Monitor and control territory expenses , ensuring adherence to company norms.
  • Collect and analyze market intelligence , competitor activity, and feedback.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Distribution, HR) for smooth operational flow .
  • Ensure team adherence to company policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory compliance .
  • Organize and execute doctor meetings, CMEs, and promotional events in the assigned area.
  • Key Skills & Competencies :

    • Strong team leadership and people management skills.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
    • Proficiency in sales planning, data analysis, and reporting .
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Sound knowledge of pharma selling techniques and therapeutic areas (aligned with Tablets India's portfolio).
    • Strong result orientation and customer focus .
    • Qualifications :

    • Graduate in Science / Pharmacy / related discipline (MBA in Marketing is a plus).
    • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an MR , with at least 1 year in a managerial or senior MR role .
    • Prior experience in handling pharma brands similar to Tablets India (e.g., gastroenterology, nutritionals, probiotics, etc.) preferred.
