The school is seeking a talented and dedicated Pipe Band Master to establish, train, and guide the school’s pipe band, building it into a source of pride and cultural expression. The role goes beyond music instruction—fostering discipline, teamwork, and tradition among students. Being in a residential IB setting, the Pipe Band Master is expected to actively contribute to the holistic growth of learners, instilling values of commitment, respect for heritage, and performance excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, train, and lead the school’s pipe band, including instruction in bagpipes, side drums, tenor drums, and bass drums.
• Teach fundamentals of pipe band music, drill formations, marching techniques, and ceremonial protocols.
• Organize regular rehearsals and prepare students for performances at school assemblies, parades, inter-school competitions, and national / international events.
• Ensure high standards of musicianship, discipline, and presentation in all performances.
• Maintain, tune, and oversee the upkeep of all instruments, uniforms, and related equipment.
• Mentor students to cultivate leadership, teamwork, and perseverance through band activities.
• Collaborate with the school’s performing arts and extracurricular departments to integrate the band into cultural programs.
• Plan repertoire selection, parade routines, and innovative musical presentations aligned with the ethos of the school.
• Promote awareness of the cultural heritage and significance of pipe band traditions within the school community.
