Product Owner

Role Overview : We are seeking a

Product Owner

who has

deep Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain expertise specifically within the U.S. insurance market . The candidate

must

have hands-on experience in

both Commercial Lines (CL) and Specialty Lines (SL) . The role requires strong client-facing communication, requirements management, backlog ownership, and collaboration with functional and technical team.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary liaison with client business, underwriter, and operations stakeholders.

Independently conduct requirement workshops, product walkthroughs, and change discussions.

Translate business needs into clear product deliverables and roadmap priorities.

2. Requirement Definition & Backlog Ownership

Develop

epics, features, and detailed user stories

with precise acceptance criteria.

Create

Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) , workflows, wireframe notes, and functional specs.

Prioritize and refine the product backlog based on business value and constraints.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with UI / UX teams on redesign and usability improvements.

Work closely with solution architects, QA, and development teams.

Ensure consistent business logic between legacy screens and updated UI components.

4. Delivery Management

Actively participate in Agile ceremonies — sprint planning, grooming, standups, demos, and retrospectives.

Support UAT planning, coordination, and defect triage along with operations stakeholders.

Ensure all scope items meet functional expectations and acceptance standards.

Requirements

Mandatory Required Skills & Qualifications :

5+ years of experience as a Product Owner and total 12+ years of experience.

Strong U.S. P&C Insurance Domain Knowledge is Mandatory.

Hands-on experience in both Commercial Lines (CL) and / or Specialty Lines (SL) is mandatory, specifically in the U.S. regulatory, underwriting, and rating context.

Experience working with Policy Administration Systems (PAS).

Demonstrated ability to write high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, features, BRDs, and workflows.

Proven experience leading client conversations independently.

Experience in UI modernization / legacy systems upgrade initiatives.

Preferred Skills : CSPO / SAFe PO / PM

certification preferred.

Familiarity with U.S. policy lifecycle —

submission, quoting, binding, endorsement, renewal, cancellation, and reinstatement .

Soft Skills :

Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Collaborative team player who can influence without authority.
