Responsibilities
The position will report to the Promoters of the group. Some of the important duties that will be assigned to the person will include, but are not limited to the following :
Finance & Account related :
- Oversee the general accounting function, cash management, banking and tax compliance (Note : The person will be expected to report to the current Accounts head [who has superannuated] for 2 years, post which if performance is satisfactory, he / she will take over the accounting function)
- Prepare standalone financial statements and MIS reports of various entities.
- Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company’s assets are protected.
- Prepare Budget v / s Actuals statements and assist the board in implementing cost saving measures.
- Oversee the reconciliation of physical inventory with accounting systems.
- Primary responsibility for interacting with statutory / tax auditors and ensuring smooth completion of audits.
- Ensure compliance with all Indian Indirect tax (GST), Direct Tax and ROC related requirements
General Administration related :
Liaison with government departments (Factories Act, Legal Metrology, Pollution Control Board, APMC etc) as required.Co-ordinate with outside legal counsel to handle legal matters.Draft and implement policies related to Personnel / HR, Site securityOversee preparation of salary statements & disbursements of salary.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce is required. (M.Com / MBA will be advantageous)
At least 15+ years’ experience in the accounting function and 10+ years of experience in leading the accounting function for a manufacturing operation.
Experience with representing the company at Direct, Indirect Tax, Labour and ROC departments.
Highly proficient with Excel and Tally ERP.
Very high levels of integrity and willingness to work collaboratively.
