Role Overview
We are seeking a Category Manager - SDA (Small Domestic Kitchen Appliances) to lead and scale our SDA category within the Terraspan Line of Business (LOB). This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of global SDA brands, from onboarding to sustained growth in India, GCC, and SEA markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to partner for international SDA brands expanding into India, GCC, and SEA.
- Build and manage a curated portfolio of 5-10 global SDA brands exclusively for Opptra
Drive post-launch growth by :
Expanding SKU assortment based on data and consumer demand.Phasing out underperforming SKUs while refining pricing and positioning.Collaborating with brands to optimize packaging, content, and supply chain efficiency.Partnering with sales, marketing, and analytics teams to implement growth initiatives.Ensure strong eCommerce presence and identify opportunities for offline channels where relevant.Deliver profitability and sustainable scale through effective margin management and GMV contribution.Experience & Skills Required
8+ years of work experience, including 4+ years in offline retail / eCommerce and at least 4 years in the SDA category (preferred).Strong understanding of SDA consumer behavior, assortment planning, supplier / manufacturing ecosystem.Proven expertise in marketplace / retail selling, including category strategy, pricing, visibility, and marketing levers.Demonstrated success in scaling product assortment and managing SKU lifecycles.Track record of cross-functional collaboration across brand, operations, tech, and analytics teams.(ref : iimjobs.com)
