Civil Designer (Land Development)

Are you an experienced Civil Designer with a passion for civil engineering projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. We are seeking individuals with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in land development, residential, commercial and industrial projects that include site servicing, site grading, stormwater management design, construction services, and water resource modeling using HEC-RAS for floodplain analysis.

As a Civil Designer, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Project Engineers with design and drafting of site servicing plan, site grading plan, erosion and sediment control plan, pre- and post-development drainage plans; calculations for stormwater management, functional servicing, and floodplain cut and fill analysis. This role is integral to the preparation of land development for residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Complete design drawings in accordance with local standards and guidelines, and project specifications.
• Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, or other computer-assisted design / drafting equipment.
• Coordinate project drawings with project engineer, and others.
• Ensure that the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
• Work under the direction of senior engineer working with team.
• Provide support in the design, drafting, modification and evaluation of civil engineering for Land Development projects.

Experience and Qualifications :

Technical Skills in Civil 3D Software :

We expect candidates to have intermediate to senior-level proficiency in the following civil design skills :

Site Servicing, including water mains, sanitary sewers and storm sewers, storm drainage

Site gradings

Earthworks cut and fill material estimates

Creating pipe system networks

Generating plans and profiles, cross section views
