iOS SDET – Medical Device Testing

Experience : 5+ Years

Location : Bangalore

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled iOS Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong background in medical device testing . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automated testing for iOS applications using XCTest / XCUITest with Swift or Appium with Kotlin , and a passion for delivering high-quality, reliable software in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases for iOS applications in the medical device domain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA engineers, and product managers to define test strategies and ensure product quality.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing .
  • Ensure compliance with medical device regulatory standards (e.G., FDA, ISO 13485).
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Required Skills :

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Testing with a focus on iOS applications .
  • Proficiency in XCTest / XCUITest with Swift or Appium with Kotlin .
  • Strong understanding of iOS architecture , UI automation , and mobile testing best practices .
  • Experience in medical device testing or working in a regulated industry .
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
  • Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

    • Good to Have :

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 , ISO 13485 , or IEC 62304 .
  • Experience with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.
  • Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms (e.G., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Understanding of Bluetooth, BLE , or IoT protocols used in medical devices.

    • Education :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
