Principal Consultant- Test Automation Architect( Selenium, JAVA)

Job Summary
• Automation Specialist and Automation Practice lead will play a critical role in driving and leading Solutioning and Delivery of QA and especially Test Automation opportunities and projects for the organization.
• Position will be responsible for understanding customer situations, challenges and automation needs and leading the solutioning as well delivery phases for key opportunities and projects
• This position will design, develop, and optimize robust automation frameworks, lead quality and performance testing initiatives, and contribute expertise in Agile environments.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to accelerate QA cycles, elevate product quality, and support complex banking operations.

Qualifications & Mandatory Skills:

• Solid understanding and hands-on expertise in Core Java (ability to code during interviews required).
• Demonstrated ability to independently architect and maintain automation frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and the overall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with performance testing concepts and execution.

Good-to-Have:

• Foundational knowledge of banking concepts and industry practices.
• Exposure to DevOps practices, including CI/CD integration and maintenance.
• Experience working with version control systems, particularly GIT.
• Practical knowledge of SQL for data validation or automation back-end integration.

• Driving customer conversations to understand customer requirements and needs, work with customers to propose QA and test automation solutions, estimation and sizing, presentations and supporting delivery on key project phases
• Ability to lead a QA and Test Automation Practice Team and mentor a high-performance QA team across the organization.
• Design and build automation Suites / Framework from the ground up, optimizing existing frameworks for scalability and ease of maintenance.
• Ability to implement AI/ML-based testing solutions.
• Tackle complex automation challenges across diverse technologies, ensuring solutions are reliable and sustainable.
• Drive continuous improvements in automation efficiency through innovative technologies and advanced testing strategies.
• Lead training and knowledge-sharing activities to bridge skill gaps and mentor team members.
• Communicate test outcomes and insights effectively to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Conduct root cause analysis of reported defects, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve and validate fixes.
• Champion Agile methodologies and participate actively in platform operation models and POD structures.
