Senior Real Estate Accountant - Ahmedabad

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Real Estate Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations related to property management, real estate projects, and construction activities. This role involves managing project cost accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with applicable regulations. The candidate should possess strong analytical abilities, a deep understanding of real estate accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Location : Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Manage and oversee all financial accounting activities related to real estate projects, including property acquisitions, development, sales, and leasing.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries, ensuring timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Perform project cost accounting, track expenses, budgets, and profitability across multiple projects.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable specific to construction vendors, contractors, and property buyers.
  • Reconcile bank statements, escrow accounts, and intercompany transactions regularly.
  • Prepare detailed financial statements, MIS reports, and project performance analysis for management.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations.
  • Manage GST, TDS, and other tax-related filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Support the finance team in cash flow management, forecasting, and budget planning.
  • Collaborate with project, procurement, and legal teams for financial documentation and contract reviews.
  • Evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated with real estate accounting standards, RERA regulations, and industry best practices.

Role Requirements :

  • Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. (CA Inter / MBA Finance preferred.)
  • Experience : 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, construction, or property management.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP / SAP / Zoho Books or other accounting software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and reporting.
  • Knowledge of project accounting, RERA compliance, and taxation (GST / TDS).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy and integrity.

    • Salary : As per industry standards and experience.

    Work Schedule : Monday – Friday
