About the Role
This is an experienced individual contributor position critical for ensuring the supply chain operates efficiently and meets performance requirements. The role requires you to direct and optimize supply chain execution within complex categories to ensure the retail market maintains optimal inventory at the highest in-stock rates. You will influence Import Fulfillment strategies by identifying current and future trends and aligning department needs with long-term company vision. You will serve as a key expert, analyzing processes and procedures to identify cost reduction and strategic improvement opportunities.
About the Team
The Supply Solutions team is accountable for managing inventory, ensuring fulfillment excellence, and overseeing order management from global origins to retail markets. We are dedicated to driving direct import sales growth and unlocking value by ensuring inventory is available while reducing holding, shipping, and production costs. We collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to continuously improve operational efficiency, optimize the supply chain, and meet all sales, in-stock, and inventory goals.
What you’ll do
- Direct Supply Chain Optimization : Direct and optimize import fulfillment execution within complex merchandise categories (based on risk, seasonality, etc.) to maintain optimal inventory at the highest in-stock rates.
- KPI Management and Analysis : Track, review, and maintain accountability for key Supply Chain KPIs. Analyze data to interpret conditions / trends and develop data-driven recommendations to improve results.
- Inventory Financial Planning : Lead the budgeting and planning of inventory, setting financial targets in collaboration with the retail market to ensure goals are met.
- Fulfillment Planning & Coordination : Develop, coordinate, and complete detailed fulfillment plans, engaging relevant internal and external parties to implement recommendations and resolve system issues.
- Policy and Compliance Enforcement : Enforce established strategies, policies, and procedures for all aspects of import fulfillment across origin countries cross-functionally.
- Risk Mitigation and Escalation : Proactively identify, model, and escalate order exceptions, disruptions, and supply chain constraints (e.g., natural disasters, long holidays) impacting execution.
- Strategic Improvement Initiatives : Initiate, lead, and actively engage in improvement projects and initiatives, defining business needs, proposing solutions, and coordinating resources across teams to drive business results.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Interact daily with retail, logistics, sourcing, and key suppliers to successfully operate the line of business at the department or division level.
- Process Development & Validation : Engage cross-functional teams to develop, validate, and authorize co-managed supplier flow plans and inventory strategies to meet changing business needs.
- S&OP and Supplier Collaboration : Oversee Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, collaborating with suppliers on demand / supply planning to improve factory performance and capability. Collaborate with supplier on to drive optimal Raw Material Planning and Capacity Planning to fulfill order requests.
- Training & Communication : Facilitate effective communication and provide expertise and training materials to internal GS associates, external sourcing agents, and import suppliers on fulfillment processes and best practices.
What you’ll bring
Supply Chain Expertise : Demonstrated, up-to-date expertise in supply chain management, proficient in core concepts like forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain theory and tools.Education : Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.Experience : A minimum of 5–10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Trading, or related fields.Advanced Data Analysis : Advanced ability to use MS Excel for complex data analysis, including text, lookup, reference, and logical functions.Analytical Innovation : Advanced ability to identify analysis needs, develop effective approaches, and draw conclusions that show innovation in impacting the business.Artificial Intelligence : Advanced ability to use AI and develop agents to enhance and Analytics and drive overall productivity.Process Improvement Leadership : Proven ability to lead projects and improvement initiatives, identifying and driving enhancements for import fulfillment and contributing specialized knowledge to tool development.Strategic Problem Solving : Able to articulate business needs, define requirements, and design pilot programs, strategically directing focus to issues with the greatest business payback.Stakeholder Engagement : Proven ability to build relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders (retail market, suppliers, logistics, merchants) and adapt to competing demands with solid business solutions.Language Proficiency : Good command of both English and local language is required.Technical Proficiency : Proficient in standard PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and qualifications for this position.
