Responsibilities and Tasks :

Automation System Design and Development :

Design and develop automation solutions for material handling systems.
Create detailed engineering plans and specifications for automation projects.
Select appropriate hardware and software components for automation systems.
Develop and test control algorithms and software for automated systems.

System Integration and Implementation :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation technologies into existing processes.

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure automation equipment and components.

Oversee the installation and commissioning of automation systems.

Ensure seamless integration of automation systems with existing infrastructure.

System Monitoring and Improvement :

Monitor the performance of automated handling systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Analyze system data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.

Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for automation equipment.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting :

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation systems.

Diagnose and resolve issues related to automation hardware and software.

Train and support maintenance and operations teams on the use of automation systems.

Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides and documentation.

Documentation and Compliance :

Maintain accurate documentation of automation systems, including design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance records.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Prepare reports and presentations on automation projects and performance.

Safety and Environmental Considerations :

Ensure automation systems comply with safety and environmental regulations.

Promote safe working practices and the use of proper PPE in automated environments.

Implement sustainable practices in the design and operation of automation systems.
