Due to our on-going success securing large-scale projects we have a requirement for Automation Engineer join our Electrical and Instrumentation Department in Bangalore.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients and the project design team for the design and development of control system design specifications / DCS / PLC based systems.
- Automation engineering design services. This includes Functional descriptions of equipment / services, IO list, Instrument index, System Architecture, Scope of Work for contractor and vendors.
- Design, program, implement, test and commission for Emerson DeltaV, Siemens PCS7, S7 & TIA Portal.
- Will participate in the development and implementation of automation solutions in line with S88 standards for the plant.
- Thorough understanding of Physical and Procedural Layer design, development, and qualification.
- Work with the automation team to design system architecture, Design Specifications, Control Strategies, and library development.
- Review and comment on system integrator and vendor design documentation.
- Liaise with automation vendors and keep up to date with the latest automation technology trends.
- Basic understanding of Instrumentation deliverable. This includes (but not limited to) Instrument Index, I / O Lists / Allocation, Instrument Specification / Data Sheets, Layouts, Cable Containment, Block Diagrams.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering in Instrumentation / Electronics / Automation & Controls Technology.Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar role, preferred in the pharmaceutical industry.Experience in the design of Industrial Control Systems, including hands on coding and system commissioning.Experience in the Designing and commissioning of automation projects for GMP manufacturing site.Through understanding of Batch S88 standards (CM, EM, Phases, Recipes, Units, etc), GAMP, 21CFRPart 11.Preferred to have knowledge about Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical processKnowledge of automation hardware and networking technologies.Batch exposure is required (Siemens PCS7 or Emerson DeltaV).Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and quality management processes in the pharma.Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet / IP, Profinet, Profibus, ControlNet)Good understanding of Panel drawings and P&ID’S.
