Role Overview
The Senior Bartender leads the bar team in delivering a cocktail-forward drinking experience. With a strong foundation in mixology and at least 3 years of bar experience, this role requires someone who can manage service speed and consistency, craft signature cocktails, and mentor junior bartenders. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume but quality-focused environment, balancing creativity with efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesCocktail Program & Service
- Prepare, mix, and serve classic and signature cocktails to consistent standards.
- Lead execution of a cocktail-forward menu — including clarified, batched, and innovative drinks.
- Ensure drinks are delivered with speed, precision, and proper presentation.
- Continuously refine recipes and maintain balance, flavor-forward focus, and cost control.
- Educate guests about cocktails, spirits, and bar offerings.
Leadership & Training
Guide and train junior bartenders and barbacks on technique, speed, and service standards.Lead by example in maintaining efficiency and clean, organized stations.Support the Bar Manager in menu development and specials.Motivate the team to upsell and engage positively with guests.Operations & Standards
Monitor bar inventory, requisitions, and daily par levels.Ensure accurate pouring and portion control to reduce wastage.Uphold hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.Handle guest feedback and resolve bar-related issues professionally.Assist in stock-taking, ordering, and supplier relations when required.Requirements
Minimum 3 years of professional bartending experience, with at least 1 year in a cocktail-focused bar.Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, bar techniques, and modern mixology trends.Comfortable working in both high-volume and craft-focused service environments.Excellent communication, guest interaction, and upselling skills.Leadership ability to train and mentor junior staff.Discipline, speed, and consistency under pressure.
