Key responsibilities
- Strategic Design : Define and lead the overall Salesforce architecture vision, aligning it with business goals and the Salesforce platform roadmap.
- Solution Development : Design scalable and sustainable solutions that consider factors like governor limits, APIs, and data volume. Map business requirements to Salesforce capabilities and determine when custom solutions are needed.
- Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance to development teams, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices are followed across implementations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Work with business stakeholders, project managers, and other technical experts to gather requirements and communicate architectural decisions.
- Governance and Best Practices : Develop and enforce technical standards, governance processes, and best practices for Salesforce development and data security.
- Project Oversight : Lead or participate in the definition and scoping of projects, provide accurate workload estimates, and ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions.
- Innovation and Improvement : Stay current with new Salesforce features and advise on emerging technologies. Review existing implementations to identify optimization opportunities.
- Documentation : Create and maintain technical design documents, architecture diagrams, and other architectural artifacts.
- Integration : Design and manage integrations with other enterprise systems, often involving middleware solutions like MuleSoft.
Required skills and qualifications
Salesforce Expertise : Deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including core clouds like Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, as well as configuration and development tools.Enterprise Architecture : Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks and concepts like data governance, scalability, and security.System Integration : Expertise in system integration, API management, and data architecture.Soft Skills : Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are crucial for translating technical concepts and collaborating across teams.
