About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Lead / Manager in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence to lead a dynamic team of data scientists and ML engineers. You will be responsible for strategic leadership , technical delivery , and practice growth in AI / ML initiatives across various domains.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and grow the Data Science and AI / ML practice – team building, strategy, mentorship.
  • Drive end-to-end data science project lifecycle : problem definition, data acquisition, modeling, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Design and implement scalable ML / DL models using tools like PyTorch , TensorFlow , Scikit-learn , etc.
  • Guide the team on best practices in data wrangling using NumPy , Pandas , and other Python libraries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams – Engineering, Product, and Business – to define AI use cases and roadmaps.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, impactful AI solutions on time and within budget.
  • Stay current with the latest in AI / ML research and technologies and bring innovations into the practice.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, industry conferences, and internal leadership discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field. PhD is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in data science, with a strong foundation in AI / ML algorithms , statistics, and deep learning.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading teams or managing a data science function.
  • Hands-on expertise with :
  • Machine Learning & Deep Learning frameworks : PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn
  • Python libraries : NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc.
  • Model deployment : Flask / FastAPI, Docker, MLflow, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps pipelines.
  • Exposure to NLP, Computer Vision, or Generative AI projects.
  • Prior consulting or client-facing experience is a strong plus.
